Natasha and Della

After Della had a freak accident and injured both her front legs I was looking for the perfect place for her to recover and start her rehabilitation.

I knew Amy from the horse world and after exchanging messages I arranged to view Cross Trees. I took one look and knew it was the place for my horse.

I instantly moved her there and have never looked back. She’s is very well cared for and is settled in the first time since having her. When Della arrived she was severely lame and on pain management medication twice a day. Just 6 months at Cross Trees and she is now medication free and totally sound!! I am so thrilled with her recovery.

It’s peaceful at Cross Trees, all the horses are relaxed and happy and Della has the freedom just to be a horse. I look forward to many years to come at Cross Trees Livery.

Sue and Washo

As the most important individual in my life, my horse Washo has to have the very best of care.   Having always looked after him myself, when I was looking for a retirement home I didn’t just want somewhere for him to go and be looked after, I wanted to be able to be involved in all aspects of his care, and to continue to visit and spend time with him on a very regular basis. Very fortunately I discovered Amy at Cross Trees Livery, who listened to me and totally understood how I felt.   She has continued to support me and now if I weren’t around I would trust her to look after him as if he were her own, as this is how she looks after all the horses in her care. I would recommend her to look after your best friend too, she is second to none.

Laura and Caretta

Discovering we were moving overseas was both exciting and daunting. I knew I had to find somewhere that would look after my mare Caretta and treat her as their own. Due to a recent stable related injury, I knew that grass livery was my only option.

I found Amy Frost through the power of Facebook. When I first met her I was struck by her kindness and excellent knowledge of horse care. She was extremely sympathetic to my situation and I knew straight away I could trust her with Caretta.

I loved that the retired horses are kept in small, well managed paddocks with shelters. They have plenty of grass in the summer and when it runs low in the winter they are given unlimited hay. Herds are chosen based on the horse’s temperament. Caretta settled in very well and adapted to living out 24/7. Amy updates me regularly and I even get the occasional FaceTime call with Caretta. So please if you are looking for bespoke retirement livery look no further!
